Children's privacy and age rating

In short. Rust to Riches is a general-audience game about cleaning cars. Players who say they are under 13 (or under 16 in Europe) only get non-personalised ads, and their advertising identifier is not used. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

What is in the game

You wash, polish and repair customers' cars and improve the streets they live on. There is no violence, no gambling and no random reward boxes. There is no chat and no way to talk to other players, and nothing you type (such as your company's name) leaves your phone.

Age ratings

The game is made for everyone: there is nothing in it that needs an age limit. It is not made specifically for children.

App Store
Age rating: 4+. The game is not in Apple's Kids category.
Google Play
Content rating (IARC): PEGI 3 (Europe and the UK) and ESRB Everyone (North and South America); other regions show their own IARC equivalent. Target audience: ages 13 and over, because the game is not designed for children.
ESRB
Everyone

The ratings on the store pages are the official ones. If they differ from this page, the store page is right and we will update this one.

The age question

Because people of any age may still download the game, it asks for your age range the first time it starts. It does not ask for a date of birth, and it keeps only the range, on your phone.

  • Under 13 (everywhere): ads are always non-personalised, ad requests are marked as child-directed, the advertising identifier is not used, and iOS does not show the tracking question. Crash reports and basic counts are used only to keep the game working and improve it, as allowed for internal operations under the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
  • Under 16 in the EEA and the UK (or the lower age of digital consent in your country, as allowed by Article 8 of the GDPR): ads are always non-personalised and ad requests are marked as coming from a user under the age of consent.

Purchases

All purchases are optional, one-time, and go through Google Play or the App Store. Parents can require approval for every purchase: on Android with Google Play purchase authentication or Family Link, on iPhone with Ask to Buy.

For parents and guardians

If you think your child has sent us personal information (for example by e-mailing support), write to our privacy contact and we will delete it. To remove the game's data from the phone, see Delete your data.
